Bonne anniversaire Beeble!

Burberry Prorsum's past few AW collections have been key inspirations to me, and after the last revolutionary collection, I was eager (to say the least) to see the results of the 2012 collection. The collection was finally revealed at LFW yesterday, ultimately being streamed live outside in Piccadilly too. Once seeing videos from the show and close-up photographs, my initial thoughts were drawn to the vibrant palette of colours- tangerines, teals, baby browns and (to me the most prominent) the ice snow whites. Designer Christopher Bailey seems to have taken a twist to this collection, by bringing a maximised femininity to the selection of garments; and of course, much like their previous collections, this line incorporates the quintessential elegance and style which only the Burberry trademark can fulfill.
In this collection Burberry steps away from the more edgy and sensual shapes which we saw in their last AW collection, and instead brings in tough fabrics with big textures, coupling them with cocoon and minimised peplum shapes. It is certainly the mix of radiant textures from this collection that indulges me: the tweed, the fur and the unmissable PVC cape shawls are what get me excited for the next AW season to begin.

I mean who would complain about the British weather if we all had a Burberry cape raincoat to hand?
And as you would've guessed from my title, today marks one year of me blogging! I struggled to believe that it had already been a year at first, and yesterday (at Somerset house LFW) when an interviewer asked me why I started blogging I couldn't seem to respond with an adequate (or articulate) answer, only being able to think of just how much I currently enjoyed blogging. With the fear of trivially overcrowding this post I have decided to include the many, many street-style-esque photographs from LFW which me and Vicki took yesterday in an upcoming post instead!
A big thank you to all the readers of this blog, your support definitely means a lot to me!

Much love,
Habin xo.

This life i'm dreaming.

It's really been far too long since I last blogged and I apologise dearly. I hope everyones been having an amazing summer and has been making the most of it! I've gotten so used to the freedom of the holidays and have no idea how i'll be able to go back to the systematic routine of normal life, and the dreaded taboo of the summer: school. Following are a stream of photographs from events that i've been to recently.

Although i've practically exiled any thoughts of school and results day, I can't help but fret over the dress code rules for sixth form. Sixth form comes with the luxury of being able to wear our own clothes, but of course the treat comes with many catches. The dress code states an infinite list of orders: no shorts, no short skirts, no bra straps showing, no bare shoulders, no coats to be worn around the school, no hats, no frayed denim and so-forth, I guess you get the idea? The more than inconvenient nature of these rules allow me only to indulge in looking at jackets, trousers, jeans and basic tops. To say the least, it'll be a difficult battle getting me into jeans as the last time I wore them was around two/three years ago! I've gotten a head start on my shopping list by purchasing these 'oxford pants' from AA. They're full length but I am contemplating on getting them tailored to 3/4 length. The rest of the following photographs are also of items solely from urban outfitters and topshop online that have stood out to me...

Although I definately don't see myself pulling one off, i've always had a soft spot for maxi dresses. Here are a few of my favourites...
I will be getting back into the normal rhythm of blogging, I hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Lots of love,
Habin xo.

Heels wish list.

Twenty two exams down and two to go, so I still need to cram in some revision- but hopefully ill get into a regular blogging routine in the summer! Last week I did a photoshoot with Olivia and Lucy, with Hannah and Ellie Ray modelling their beautiful jackets and headbands which they made from scratch- and are selling so check out their blogs! Read Olivia's behind the scenes from the photoshoot post here. I will post the results up hopefully soon (:  I still don't have the perfect pair of heels or a clutch for prom which is next tuesday! I've been scouring the net and shops up and down London- but I keep getting distracted by summer platform beauties instead. It would definately be a more worth-while buy if I bought a pair of these summer heels instead of a pair of formal ones, I mean our prom is in the summer so it should be alright?

These are from topshop and are 130 pounds, picking them up in the shop was so surreal- yes, that's how beautiful they were. They are far out of my price range though, I hate how money always seems to come in the way. [Topshop.com]
I really want to invest in a pair of chunky, platform sandals for the summer- and KG have such a variety of them! I'm loving cork and wooden heels with bright colours that have been toned down. They are all from the Kurt Geiger website, and although I wouldn't be able to pull the last pair off- the lilac, the valencia wooden heel, the wide band and the chunky platform status of them just add up to perfect! I quite wish that I was going to a poolside, city holiday in the summer now just for an excuse to wear a pair of these heels, instead i'll be surfing and sunbathing in flipflops- and beaches are no place for shoes like these, they'd get ruined so easily- especially if i'm the person wearing them haha.
Just a few quick updates before I start my night-stand of revision. I bought this jumper from American Apparel last week- it's white with floral fabric embelishments all over it, the only problem is that there is only one size and it's really big! This hasn't stopped me from adoring it though, and i'm desperately looking for the right opportunity to be able to wear it! I also got a pair of the aa frilly socks- originally for prom.
(Sorry about the rubbish quality of the photos) Next time I blog I will be free from exams!! I apologise dearly for my continuous moaning about gcses in every post, they just never seem to end. Also, after reading the most recent post on Treasure chest, I am completely stuck on what to wear to clothes show London this weekend- it's a fashion event so I definately have to wear a nice outfit, the pressure is on- any ideas?
Lastly, I am loving the new flake advert (click here) it's so beautiful and clever, you really need to see the video in order to think that i'm not crazy describing a chocolate advert as beautiful haha. It reminds me a lot of the Kate Moss hologram projection from a McQueen show a few years back (can be seen here).

Lots of love
