LFW I- Charles Anastase and Mulberry.

Half term has begun, and so far, I have found myself eagerly admiring collections from the long-awaited arrival of London Fashion Week. To me, Autumn-Winter collections always have a definitive inevitability about them- arising from the annual presence of fur, tweed and big knits. I have been following the results of LFW daily, (although I am yet to catch up with all the collections from NYFW), the use of subtle contrast- mixing soft, preppy shapes and fabrics with hard, edgy accessories in Autumn of 2011 is imminent.
I am certain that I won't be alone in saying that the CSM collection this season has been the most show-stopping, with the graduates once again dictating our r-t-w wardrobes with what can only be stated as an imagination as vast and boundless of a child's. Their was a certain familiarity about Jenny Postle's line- (which I will bravely and publicly state now), reminded me first and foremost of Elmer the elephant.
One of my favourite collections of LFW definitively has to be that of the Parisian cult designer Charles Anastase. It was the colour palette (of deep medieval hues and old-age scarlets) as well as the contrasting fabrics- with heavy-duty fabrics paired with delicate chiffons. With my weakness for edgy looks, Anastase's collection has the perfect mix of preppy and alternative, providing key inspiration for my school wardrobe.
In relation to Anastase's collection, I felt privy to inserting a little extract of another collection which has inspired my school wardrobe- Mulberry. Mulberry's very feminine approach on the season welcomes the influence of anything outdoorsy, with the indent of some of my favourite colour combinations- creams, beiges, camels and khaki tones.
I am unexplainably excited for the presentation of Erdem and Burberry Prorsum tomorrow! I will be in London and will bring you street style snaps of LFW's latest 'frow' candidates.
Which is your favourite collection this season from LFW? or from NYFW?

Much love,
